At Ace Golf, we believe golf should feel different.

For too long, the game has been gatekept, defined by exclusivity, expensive memberships, and unwritten rules about who belongs. We created Ace Golf to flip that narrative.

We wanted to build a space that was approachable, inclusive, and vibrant: a place where you can come as you are, play a round, share a meal, or celebrate life’s moments, whether you’ve swung a club before or not.

Our why is simple:

To make golf — and hospitality — more human.
We exist to bring people together through play, connection, and culture.

Ace Golf was born from a love of golf, community, and a desire to reimagine what a golf-centered hospitality experience could be. Founded by cousins Daniel Yang and Oscar Lao, alongside Chef An Nguyen, Chef Adrian Lau, and Managing Partner Sabrina Benoit, Ace reflects our collective heritage, creativity, and commitment to belonging. As a family-run and QPOC-led venue in the heart of Leslieville, we’re proud to weave our cultures and values into everything we do, from the food we serve to the community we support.

We saw how golf could be elitist and intimidating, and we wanted to change that. So we created a space where golf is social, accessible, and infused with flavour. A place that celebrates people first, not just performance.

Accessibility is built into our DNA. Our venue was created with care, ensuring that guests can enjoy a barrier-reduced experience (we will never say barrier-free as there is always room to grow and improve), from our entrance to our golf bays and washrooms.

Ace Golf isn’t just where Toronto comes to play.

It’s where community meets creativity, where every swing, sip, and bite celebrates something bigger: belonging and diversity.

Ace Golf Bar & Lounge is located in T’karonto, now known as Toronto, on the traditional territories of many First Peoples, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. 

We also remember those who came here involuntarily, including those brought through the trans-Atlantic slave trade and slavery. This city was built through the displacement of Indigenous peoples and the stolen labour of Black, Indigenous, and racialized communities. 

While we cannot undo this history, we acknowledge it and choose to act differently. We are grateful to live and work here, and we understand that meaningful gratitude is paired with action. At Ace Golf Bar & Lounge, we commit ourselves to advancing anti-racism and decolonization while centering the voices, leadership, and joy of Black, Indigenous, racialized, trans, and non-binary communities.
